目前 Google Glass 要安裝第三方人士所開發的 app 的話，用戶（測試者）都是要自行從計算機下載和安裝的，并不像 Android 手機和平板那樣有便利的 Google Play 支持，但話說在七月時，Google Glass XE7 的更新已透露了它可能將會加入應用程序商店（ app store）之類的東西，暫時名為「 Boutique 」。現在紐約時報指出，一個為 Glass 專設的應用程序商店將會在 2014 年的某天推出，Google 一位代表亦向 Marketing Land 確認真有其事。Google 早已說明了他們希望在 2014 年將 Glass 普及化，程序的安裝方法也很明顯要變得大眾化吧，所以 Glass 的市場要在同年推出并不足為奇。
